ventrilo tutorial

Hello, this will be a short tutorial about ventrilo. The SS's will be taken from VentriloMix.

The client i use can be DL'd from here (http://www.strawberrypancakes.org/VentriloMix.zip) [note by blackd: do not trust blindy on executables posted by users. They can be infected with keylogers. In this case I strongly recommend you search it i google instead downloading from this link]

so,

1th you download ventrilo and install it from there.
After you install it and open it you shud get this window on your scren.

After that press Ventrilo 2.1 and you'll get this window up

Press No and you'll get this up

Here you 1th of all press the -> and enter your name (eg. Sune^) and then just leave everything els and press Ok.

Now press the 2nd -> and press New then enter following
Name: Just w/e you want. (eg. BlackD)
Hostname or IP: Ip
Port Number: port
Password: pass
Default Channel: Leave this.

Now press Connect and your logged on.

Okey, Here is the 2nd parth of it.

Press the + BDP and enter the password (blackd) and you'll get in to the room.

Press now press Setup and you'll get this window up http://img110.imageshack.us/img110/2788/vent2jg5.jpg

1 -- Now first press in so its [V]Use Push-To-Talk Hotkey

2 -- Hold over the white box and press a key you want to use (eg. Mouse3 , the scroll)

3 -- Press Test and push you PTT hotkey and say something, then drop it and see if you hear yourself. If you can just hear you with a low sound, higher you Outbound abit.

If okey now just press Ok and start talking.

Okey, Last one now. If you still cant hear yourself you'll have to try this.

Prolly (if you never used your mic befor both this can be muted). Just unmute one of them and try the Test once again. Not working? Try to unmute the
other one and try again.

If you don't got the Mic and Line In get them by pressing Optuins -> Properties and [v] Mic and Line In


Still wont work? Then im sorry that i can't help you anymore. Try to use an other Mic or reinstall your drivers.

Btw: it's 1'st, not 1th. Th is only used for numbers higher than 3.
