I'm trying to use blackd on a custom client ot, i know that the version is 8.54 but i can't get it to work.. anyone knows?

Custom client eh?

Problem is there could be any amount of changes which would make BlackD unable to communicate with it.

Lets start with;
Which method are you using to connect to it?
ie
Openning client - changing ip - then openning blackd?

Have you ensured you set your proxy to the correct IP and Port?

Have you stepped into advanced settings and set as 8.54?

Did you reset BlackD Proxy after setting the client version to 8.54?

It wont take changes if you dont reset it. Another thing, please explain what do you mean with "cant get it to work"?

Does the cavebot doesnt work? BLackD doesnt even start? Hotkeys are messed up?

Try opening the client first then blackd
