hey guys, i'm planning to go to the usa with my family for a while so my question is:

i saw on apple's site that an iphone 3gs on usa is only 50usd.... while in my country its 700 usd (believe it or not) LOL...

so my question is, can i go to an apple store to buy an iphone without having to contract a service? is it possible to buy only the device?

50 usd is the subsidized price. This means you must get a contract with the purchase. In that same page you saw the iphone click on Buy it or Add to cart, and try to buy it. It will ask you which carrier do you want to use to apply the contract.

An iPhone 3g is only 50$ if you buy it with contract. Around 500 without contract.

I had the Samsung Galaxy S but I traded it in for Tmobile G2X -
