problem with directX9

iv just installed my windows new because my computer was just fcked up
now my problem is, that iv installed tibia new i cant select directX9 or open gl
im running on directX5 and the graphic is really shit, but the thing is, iv got directX10 installed on my computer and still i cant switch to 9 even tho 10 is better
can you please help me?
also i lost all my maps, where can i find the tibia map folder i want my friend to give me his maps (:

For the first: what windows do You have ? XP/vista/7 ? 32 or 64 bit`s ?
Download this program (http://www.driveridentifier.com/), run and check all drivers. Have you download the newest drivers for Your gfx card ?
For the maps:

Under Windows Vista and Windows 7:
C:\Users\[USERNAME]\AppData\Roaming\Tibia

Under Windows 2000 and Windows XP:
C:\Documents and Settings\[USERNAME]\Application Data\Tibia

what to do when i used this ?
GFX card = graphic card?
iv got a standard VGA graphic card lol, if i want to 'upgrade' theres only options for nvidia cards or smth
