Safety question (Hotkeys)

With all the banwaves going on I am very paranoid about being deleted but I really can't stand having only the F1-12 keys for keybindings(Why cipcoft doesn't give us better hotkey options boggles my mind...). So basically I need to know if using the BlackD application with only hotkeys is considered safe? If not, would it be possible to extract the hotkey part from the main program and make it a separate application?

A techinical explanation would be great since I see way too many "i didnt get banned so its safe" answers.
