Look at the screen shot. These weird brown boxes are appearing over everything which is after announcement of having 2 server saves to put in a bug fix. Perhaps it could be a new patch? Let me know what you think.

They are "swap" markers. When trapped and being atked by a player you can walk into these squares to swap positon.
